First of all, before we get to the results, I want to say a few words. I was blown away by all of you this weekend. From the person who was there watching and has never done CrossFit, the teammates cheering, the volunteers, the athletes, and even the CrossFit Games competitors. You all showed what the CrossFit Community is all about and that is something we take very serious at CrossFit North Vancouver. Thank you for helping us stay true to our tag line, “Community Driven Fitness”.
Thank you to all of the volunteers, judges, and random people who just took a moment to pick up a piece of garbage and make the event a great event. Often times you are not thanked during the event because everyone is so focused on what they each need to do individually. I can tell you I am thankful from the bottom of my heart and I hope some people take the time to comment on this post and tell all of you how thankful they are for your efforts. I would like to single out Reed McKenzie our head judge from CrossFit Taranis, Ryan Jarvis one of my best friends and our DJ/Announcer, Tim Walger our stats/scoring guru, Mike from the Raven Pub, and Suzi, Daryn, and Tom who stayed until the bitter end on Saturday and Sunday night to make sure everything was perfect for the next day.
Thank you to our sponsors. In no particular order, Viking Weightlifting Equipment, Fitnesstown, Again Faster Canada, STR/KE Movement, Reebok CrossFit, Q Energy Drink, and The Raven Pub. We gave away awesome gear from all of these sponsors and $1800 in prize money from CrossFit North Vancouver.
In closing I would just like to say Thanks for being a part of our Community and our efforts to showcase the CrossFit Community to everyone. We hope to see you back for next year. Should we do Fran again???
