Like our Crossfit nicknames once a new name is applied to something it has a way of sticking, so when Dave started calling my Sunday workouts burners it quickly became Bull’s Burner.
When I started coaching at Crossfit North Vancouver one of the things I wanted to bring along from the previous gym where I’d been coaching was the metcon style workout that always had a few twists. I love those workouts that just keep going, where you have to find your reserve switch and kick it on to get the job done. Lots of reps with lower weights and constantly varied. The difference is my version of constantly varied can include water balloon tosses, shooting dart guns and practicing important skills necessary for facing the zombie apocalypse. In other words I like to work hard and have fun doing it.
If you are looking for a great way to work up an appetite for your Sunday dinner then come out for the Bull’s Burner at 3:30, everyone is welcome.
Always different, always challenging but still scalable and always fun.
