We’ve added Olympic Lifting classes to the schedule in the evenings. Monday through Thursday at 6:30pm. These classes are there for you to become better at the Olympic Lifts. Whether you are new to lifting or an avid lifter the classes will be great for you. The programming and structure has been set to try and meet the needs and schedules of everyone. Of course, we can’t keep everyone happy. The programming will be posted each day with the wods on a new tab.
The overview will be consistent and hopefully allow you to make the most out of your time and get the best value for your money. The classes are A $50 per month add on.
Blocks will be programmed with a theme in 6,8,10 or 12 week chunks to make sure we work on a skill for a while giving people the best opportunity to learn. Classes will be structured the following way and continue to alternate:
Monday – Snatch, emphasis on skills/drills
Tuesday – Snatch, emphasis on strength
Wednesday – Clean and Jerk, emphasis on skills/drills
Thursday – Clean and Jerk, emphasis on strength
Monday – Snatch, emphasis on strength
Tuesday – Snatch, emphasis on skills/drills
Wednesday – Clean and Jerk, emphasis on strength
Thursday – Clean and Jerk, emphasis on skills/drills
This should allow you to get the most out of the sessions whether you train two days a week on Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu or do all four classes. Again, our goal is to help as many people as possible.
We are going to try to make all of the Olympic Lifting programming work smoothly with the CrossFit programming, but, always remember CrossFit is for Genereal Fitness and General Strength. If you are making Olympic Lifting a priority, focus on it. When in doubt ask a coach!
