First of all – Thank you! Whether you were an athlete, spectators, volunteer, or you came to the gym to workout with what little equipment was left – Thanks! We run these events to celebrate our community and the CrossFit community in the Pacific Northwest. The event was a success on all fronts and it wouldn’t have been possible without YOU!
Mandy aka Diva
She fought through adversity the first couple of days. The workouts were very challenging and not in her favour at all. She was a champ and worked hard to grind them out. On Sunday, the big day, where the workouts were actually more difficult and required more skill, she thrived. Diva had a top 10 finish in both events, 5th and 8th respectively. Overall a mid pack finish with some great Sunday highlights! Nice work Diva!
Adrianna aka AJ
AJ has been in Victoria, but, she will always be a CrossFit North Vancouver Original. She was stellar throughout the weekend always smiling. It was great to see her and amazing to see the support she received from our community. It was awesome to see! Overall a 7th place finish missing out on being in the Final Heat by one spot. So close to the electricity of the final heat! Well done AJ!
CFNV Iron Workers
Bull, Jackal, KD, and Crash. Such a fun crew. I have to say it was great seeing the ladies out on the dancefloor. Kim and Kristin were great to watch. It had been a while since both had set foot on a competition floor and they were great. Terry, always leading by example and verbally coupled with Adam’s strong steady performances was great to watch. The “Iron Workers” have inspired us all and I’m currently looking at making our official name – Iron Workers.
CFNV Public Servants
3 teachers and a Firefighter until Pistol Pete went down with an ankle injury pre-event and could not compete. That’s ok, sub a student! Wonderboy took a bow on his first full competition while Sean also took his first bow in a larger event. Both Sean and Wonderboy impressed with their skills while Phyllis continued to contribute each event. Steady. Tash was her usual self competing with Glee and hitting PR’s. Overall a great experience for all competing through some adversity as Pistol was unable to go.
Team CrossFit North Vancouver
Cheetah, Spydey, Popey, and Trophy. A great weekend for these guys resulted in a podium finish. They placed 2nd after the weekend only being beaten by the 4 time Canada West Regional Champs, CFFV. No one really stood out, they just worked as a team. So great to see CFNV represented by so many volunteers and being on the podium was a bonus! A celebration for all of us. Very proud.
