CFNV Athlete of the Year 2012 – Adam “Crash” Walsh
In 2012 Adam went from being a guy with an impressive engine to becoming a CrossFit Athlete. Adam qualified and represented CrossFit North Vancouver at the Canada West Regionals on Team Blue. This is where I think Adam caught a little bit of CrossFit fever. After Regionals he started to attack his “goats” with vigor and determination. I can remember watching him struggle with a 22lb Turkish get up and a few months later I saw him doing 72lb Turkish get ups with ease. Adam is constantly working on his mobility and doing the little things to be better like showing up early to warm up properly and staying late to cool down. This all became very evident at the CrossFit Taranis Winter Challenge as he was the engine of the team and he virtually PR’d everything.
Adam is an example to everyone. Work hard and you will see results. A recent quote I saw came to mind, “Hard work beats Talent when Talent doesn’t work hard”
