I received an email, letter, last night from a Volunteer at the Taranis Winter Challenge. I asked her permission to share it and I’m not going to say anything else. I’ll let it speak for itself:
Dear Dave & Christina,
I was a volunteer at the Taranis Winter Challenge this past weekend and I wanted to share something with you. I had the opportunity to interact with many of the athletes from Crossfit North Vancouver and the experiences really struck me. No matter whom I met from CFNV, they all had huge smiles on their faces-even through the pain of some very painful wods. Every team member and their support crew had glows on their face as they cheered for both their teammates and their friends from other gyms. Despite their focus, they had the time to ask and care about other Crossfit community members. The positive family atmosphere of your gym was evident to everyone at Taranis and I think was truly unique. You have created something amazing at your gym and I commend you on it-I cannot help but cheer for such positive crew. I know with the beautiful attitudes of all your crew the future holds brilliant things for all of you.
Thanks for bringing all the positivity and joy to all our regional events. I am a believer in CFNV.
– Simply put, this was one of the best letters I have ever received, and the source, so unexpected. It takes a lot to go to a competition and have even the volunteers recognize you. I’m so proud of what we are all a part of. You each touch peoples lives in your own way. I willing to bet Brigit is not the only one. You all are awesome!
