Heart & Soul
Wanna give a big shout-out and thank-you to Dave Kitchen for having me at the CrossFit North Van Challenge 2013. It was a weekend full of fun and fitness, with lots of familiar faces and lots of new friends. This man puts his heart and soul into his family, his community, his gym and his events - and it shows. Check him out if you want to learn how to operate as a gym owner, or just a real good dude. Lucas Parker - Rogue Athlete & 15th place in the world at the 2012 CrossFit Games

A Welcoming Community…
I had always been active and growing up as a competitive figure skater I trained in the gym on a daily basis. It was never anything like Crossfit. Crossfit has brought me energy like I’ve never had and has allowed me to do things I didn’t think possible. Intimidated and shy at first, Dave and the community at Crossfit North Vancouver have welcomed me with open arms. They motivate me, push me, and believe in me when I need it the most.

Tools, Guidance & Support
Simply put CrossFit has given me the tools, guidance, and support to become the athlete I thought was only possible in my dreams. Dave believed in me, and now has me believing in myself. Programming, expert coaches, and encouraging members truly give CrossFit North Vancouver a sense of community that extends beyond the walls of the gym.

Overcoming Physical Limitations
I work as an Insurance Broker and am 52 years old. I love CrossFit, it has made an incredible difference to my life. Two years ago if I squatted down to the floor, I could not stand up because of Osteoarthritis pain. I can now back squat with over 200 lbs. I have lost 30 lbs and now find myself in the best shape I have been in since my early 20's. I hated working out, CrossFit is a way to work out and have fun at the same time and you can't do that in a regular gym.

Changing The Way I Think
CrossFit has changed the way I think about fitness and has shattered my preconceived notions about getting older. I thought I would have to lower my fitness expectations and find more leisurely activities. Then I found CFNV and I've never felt stronger, faster or healthier overall...ever.
